Letting the fear go and post experience care

I did a short video about fear of putting yourself out there this week. We absolutely love seeing our clients break down those barriers of fear during their photoshoot. We have so many who come in super nervous and unsure of what they are doing and about mid way through we see those walls start to crumble down, piece by piece. It's a truly beautiful moment, like watching a butterfly emerge from its cocoon.

For me boudoir was my chance to emerge from my cocoon and spread my wings. I know it can be super nerve wracking putting yourself in a position of vulnerability. We recently had a client who came in so nervous and unsure of things and by the time she was done she was flying on cloud nine, trying to decide what pictures she loved more! Fast forward to her receiving her images she started with “I think I am going to post one” to literally sharing them all on social media. We could not be more proud of her! We want to build a community around boudoir, so our clients quickly become our friends and we loooove seeing our friends succeed and blossom!

So how do we keep that positivity and energy long after your experience? Its all in your mindset! One of the biggest things I’ve come to realize is that the way you think about and treat yourself matters. Stay confident!! Its not outer beauty that shines during a session, its your inner beauty, your confidence, your happiness! Make sure you keep practicing self love. Give yourself a breather once a week where you can regroup and recharge whether its a bath, mani/pedi, workout, whatever allows you to center yourself again and remind yourself that you are amazing! Its ok to put yourself first!

We exist in a world where putting yourself first is viewed as selfish, self centered, act. Why? If I don’t take care of me I can’t take care of anyone else. You have to love and care for yourself!!
